120 – Luke Lightwood

Luke Lightwood is one of those riders that rocks up to an event or session, throws down and leaving everyone scratching heads wondering who he is?

Enjoy this brief chance to get to know him as FoTP gives him 120 seconds to make a name for himself.

FoTP: Luke where have you been, why is this only your first interview?
LL: I’ve not really been anywhere! I’ve only been shredding at Tamworth Snowdome, so that’s probably why I’ve not been interviewed before!

You’ve been a secret assassin for a while now, are you ready to break out now?
Hell yeah. I’ve been keeping my head down for a while, but I’m ready to start a snowboard revolution… well an indoor snowboard revolution… well I’ll be shredding indoors.

What’s your favourite trick?
Hardway back 360 on.

You can do that, you’re not just talking yourself up for this interview?
I can do it. I’ve got it pretty good.

What’s your snowboarding ambition?
It’d be nice to get a good few comp results, but I’d love a video project to happen, and I’ve love to be a part of it.

What you’re best joke?

I’m Ap-poo? ( much laughing ) That is the worst joke in history. I should terminate this interview right now with jokes like that!

If you had to choose between snowboarding and your girlfriend, what would you choose?
Ahahaha! (Very awkward silence). All I can say is that my girlfriend would batter me if I chose snowboarding.

Finally, what are you going to do after this interview?
Go home and cry!

Why? It wasn’t that bad was it?
Well my bum is a bright shade of purple where I wrapped my hips around a rail before this interview. I’m pretty beat up now, so I’m gonna go home and tell my girlfriend who I wanted to be with rather than snowboarding!
