Summer Shizzle : Shades.

Published on: 21st July, 2010

Snowboarding product isn’t the first thing you think of over the summer months.

There are plenty of bargains to be had as the old season’s product leaves the shelves at discount prices – but amongst the sales racks and surf gear, there’s still plenty of shred-related product for you to get hold of, and make use of all year round.

FoTP took a trip to Magic Toast in Leicester to take a look at some of the alternative product they offer all year round, and there was plenty of selection that caught our eye.

Keeping trend with the current weather, we’d be daft not to take a look at some of the shades that are in the racks at the moment.

Magic Toast stock several rad brands, in many styles and colours, for all those fashionistas out there who like to stay true to the trends.

There isn’t much to say about sunnies – they do a simple job and keep the sun out of your eyes – so this one is of course down to personal taste, your individual style and what suits your wallet.

We asked the ‘Toast staff to select a few of their favourites, as to be honest, the selection was boggling.

Lewis and Rich came up with some fine examples of this year’s eyeware, including a couple of Oakley specimens, a nice Von Zipper number and some neat Ashbury frames.

We liked the lizard green of the Ashbury Daytripper and the slick iridium lenses from Oakley – but then you can’t beat a pair of dark sunglasses to shield your eyes from the summer rays, especially when they make you feel like a mob boss.

Examples of the shades we looked at can be witnessed down below, but don’t forget there are plenty more where they came from if these 5 styles don’t tickle your fancy.
